Introducing La Mesa Floral Artistry, Weddings & Events, Now exclusively at CJ Gift Shoppe.  

I’m Kathleen McCabe, owner of La Mesa Floral Artistry, Weddings & Events, and a professional floral designer.  I’m delighted to join the CJ Gift Shoppe collective as of 12.1.23!

I started my full-service, all-occasion floral design studio in Valley Center in October 2016, after apprenticing with some of the East Coast’s finest designers.  

“LA MESA” Is For “THE TABLE”

I named my business “La Mesa” (Spanish for “the table”), with the objective of providing everything beautiful for the table, entertaining and events. Coincidentally, I’m originally from La Mesa, in East San Diego County.  Despite what can be a minor confusion with La Mesa in the name, I’m very much dedicated to the Valley Center community. 

CUSTOM DESIGNS, DELIVERED 

As Valley Center’s hometown community florist since 2016, I pride myself on serving the needs of all our residents, the surrounding Tribal areas, as well as greater San Diego County. 

Specializing in fresh, unexpected color and floral combinations, each of my designs are custom to fit the budget and needs of the client.  I locally-source flowers and greens from growers in our community, wherever possible, and hire local designers and support members for weddings and events. 

I love a floral challenge, and am ready to brainstorm and create specifically to the client’s vision, as well as to the occasion.   If I don’t have it, I am open to assisting clients in finding the perfect solution to floral gift-giving, recognition, and celebration.

A BIT MORE…

In 2018, I had the honor of designing all floral elements for the Valley Center Vaqueros’ Equestrian Team entry in the  Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade.  In 2016, I was selected as a scholarship winner for Teleflora’s National Design University.
